Best Digital Piano Under $500 - 2010

If you noticed my previous hubpage, you could read about a digital piano under for just something under 1000 dollars. This is as you might already know a little higher price for such a piano and most of the musicians rather invest a little bit less.

However, there are usually some differences, and especially the more experienced enthusiasts are able to really appreciate the qualities of for example the Yamaha CP33 Stage Piano, I talked in my previous article. This article is going to be about a digital piano in a lot lower price, and that is $500. This is basically a very good price because it's actually some kind of the middle price when it comes to these types of pianos.

The thing is that it is not too much, nor too many. From what I've seen on various forums and discussion where people talk about their favorite digital pianos, the recommended prices were always in the range from 200 to 1000 dollars. When it comes to some higher prices like for example 2000 and 2500, the buying rate is a lot lower.

So, which one is the best digital piano under $500 you can get?

Casio PX-130 88-Key Digital Stage Piano

If you're a little bit advance player and would like to buy a new piano, while not spending too much money you would be OK to go with the Casio PX-130. It costs a little below $500 in most online stores (you might also find it for a good price in a local store but the chances are significantly lower), which nicely fits into our topic.

What features can you expect if you decide to buy it?

  • the measurements are: 58"x10"x15"
  • weighs just 34.7 pounds
  • Reverb (4 types), Chorus (4 types), Brilliance (-3 to 0 to 3), Acoustic Resonance
  • 16 tones together with layer and split
  • 128-note polyphony
  • versatile enough for home, school, church, or for a stage
  • new Tri-Sensor 88-note scaled hammer action keyboard
  • download your new songs from PX-130's flash ROM to your PC via USB connection
  • Duet mode - great for student and teacher practice
  • built-in speakers with 2 x 8 Watts of output power allow you to fill a whole room with sound
  • comes with: optional SP-32 three-pedal unit, add damper, soft, and sostenuto pedals to the PX-130

With this wonderful piece of instrument, you can be completely confident to go out and play for a big crowd of people without any doubts. The Casio brand name takes care for the assured quality.

I hope you liked my article, and wish you a great day!
