It's all about the the levels of hormones in your body, skin elasticity and other factors.

The best thing how to avoid stretch marks is make everything possible to actually prevent them, which is done by specialized anti-stretch mark creams. This can be and should be easily done during the pregnancy period where you expect your breasts and belly to increase on volume. The same precaution should be taken also when you about to start taking some contraceptives, which cause significant hormonal changes in your body and can make your brests grow in a very short time. Your skin is obviously not prepared for that and stretch marks can arise very easily.

Although the creams themselves don't really erase your stretch marks, they can do a great job lighting them up and making them a lot less visible.
